How the Game Board Is Laid Out
Sneaky Solitaire renders a full Klondike game inside a spreadsheet grid. The cell coordinates use standard spreadsheet notation — rows are numbered, columns are lettered — so a quick glance reads like any other data sheet.
- Row 1 (A1–I1)
- S1 = Stock pile has at least one card that can be drawn to waste
- (S1) = Stock pile, is empty, can be drawn for another pass
- (X) = Stock pile, is empty, no more passes available
- (W1) = Waste pile, spot 1, is empty
- (W2) = Waste pile, spot 2, is empty
- (W3) = Waste pile, spot 3, is empty
- (F1) = Foundation pile, spot 1, is empty
- (F2) = Foundation pile, spot 2, is empty
- (F3) = Foundation pile, spot 3, is empty
- (F4) = Foundation pile, spot 4, is empty
- Row 2 (A2–I2)
- Draw-mode indicator in A2
- ▼ 1 = toggle selects all playable cards in Column 1
- ▼ 2 = toggle selects all playable cards in Column 2
- ▼ 3 = toggle selects all playable cards in Column 3
- ▼ 4 = toggle selects all playable cards in Column 4
- ▼ 5 = toggle selects all playable cards in Column 5
- ▼ 6 = toggle selects all playable cards in Column 6
- ▼ 7 = toggle selects all playable cards in Column 7
- Rows 3+ (C3–I3 and downward) — The seven maneuver columns (tableau). Face-down cards are hidden; face-up cards show suit and rank.
- (C1) = Column 1 spot is empty
- C1 = Column 1, spot has a face-down card
- ...
- (C7) = Column 7 spot is empty
- C7 = Column 7, spot has a face-down card
- Row 22 (A22) — Control help / instructions overlay toggle.
The game uses a 22-column × 37-row grid. The extra rows and columns outside the play area are filled with random placeholder data when the game is hidden, reinforcing the spreadsheet disguise.
